ELECTRICITY & WATER
Here you will find the rules for electricity and water at Odin Camping. The rules apply to all guests with an electricity hook-up, whatever type of agreement you have.
Payment and connection
To be connected to our electricity grid, all agreed payments must be up to date. The agreements state clearly that payment must be in order to use the pitch, access the caravan and be connected to a power outlet.
Guests who are not up to date may be disconnected if a reminder is not paid or a new payment plan is not agreed.
From 1 June 2024, only tenants with an electricity meter may be connected. If needed, the site management can give a time-limited deadline for installing a meter.
Guests with an electricity hook-up are responsible for, and/or must be insured against, damage to the caravan caused by power cuts.
Plugs and equipment
We expect you to have signed the form from DLE (the local electrical safety authority) and to know the electrical requirements for your caravan.
Use only modern, round plugs. Older, square three-pin plugs are not approved. Costs Odin Camping incurs because of faulty personal electrical equipment may be invoiced afterwards.
Meter readings on My Page
Permanent and seasonal guests register their meter readings on My Page. First create a user on My Page, then follow these steps:
1. Before you connect: Read the electricity meter before you plug in the cable. Note that the power must be connected for the numbers to show. Otherwise the display is black.
2. Register: Log in to My Page and enter the numbers.
3. Every month: Read the meter every month when you can.
On My Page you will also find member benefits and useful information.
Winter storage and winter stays
If you have standard winter storage, read the meter and unplug the power cable when you leave, by 1 October each year at the latest. If you forget, our staff will help.
If you want to stay connected during the winter season, send in meter readings on 1 October, at the turn of the year (as close to 1 January as possible) and on 1 May each year.
If you are connected and staying over the winter, please be very careful with electricity and keep an eye on your own consumption. We appreciate a reading at the end of each month.
Day guests
For day guests, electricity is included in the daily rate.
Charging electric cars
Charging electric cars at the power outlets on the site is not allowed, as it can damage the electrical installation. We have our own charging station for electric cars. Charging must be arranged with the staff.
Water
Water is free.
